Maker Faire

Maker Faire in Trondheim! We had a mini-maker faire last year. This year, the fair took over the torg, with many, many booths with exciting uses of robots, design and technology. Some of my favorites:
A robot that plays piano. Also bananas that you can touch and play like a piano.

These Cthulhu-like creatures were "designed" and printed by an AI. Fear the future!

One stand continuously printed and gave away whistles. Lots of 3d printing here.

This sculpture is... I don't know what it is. But it's cool. And made by kids.

Peter building with Strawbees, a Kickstarter project.

Octocopters. A friend of mine is building one with 48 rotors that will be capable of lifting a human. Ooooh yes.

Battle bots! Remote control robots that fire foam missiles at each other!

A 3d printed trillobite. Cooooool.

Autonomous problem-solving robots.

Bendik and his bizarre and wonderful wedding cake. See video below.

Zenta, aka Kåre Halvertsen, builds amazing robots. See yesterday's blog posting for something really cool.
